How We Got Started
Greenacres Heritage Villa was brought to life by Mr. Seevali Weerathunge, who envisioned creating a serene getaway that combines heritage with comfort. Educated at St. Thomas's and Grange Park Boys School in the UK, Mr. Weerathunge has dedicated his life to perfecting hospitality. His passion for preserving Sri Lankan heritage and creating unforgettable experiences led to the establishment of this remarkable villa.

Meet Mr. Weerathunge
Mr. Seevali Weerathunge, our esteemed founder, was born in Sri Lanka and has lived in the UK since 1969. As a Company Director, he combines his professional acumen with a deep love for Sri Lankan culture. Married to Daythi, they are proud parents of two grown sons and five beautiful grandchildren. They frequently visit Sri Lanka, where they enjoy their heritage home in Baddegama, near Hikkaduwa. A fun fact: Mr. Weerathunge has a talent for fast beer drinking, a skill he proudly boasts about.
Our Location
Greenacres Heritage Villa is situated on a hill surrounded by a variety of large trees, including cinnamon and coconut. The villa retains its original features while offering modern bathrooms and amenities for today's travelers. With four bedrooms, three of which have en-suite bathrooms, and a kitchen geared for self-catering, our villa is designed for comfort and convenience.
